2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is available in four trim levels. The LS is the base trim, followed by the midrange LT. From there, the performance-based Activ follows, with the RS topping the line. Exterior features include silver-painted aluminum wheels, available roof rails and LED fog lights, available tinted windows, and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels at the top of the range. A panoramic sunroof and hands-free liftgate are available as add-ons.

The base engine for the latest Chevy Trailblazer is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder powertrain that generates 137 horsepower with 162 pound-feet of torque, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with front-wheel drive. If you choose the all-wheel-drive option, you also upgrade to a more powerful three-cylinder engine that generates 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, and you get a nine-speed automatic transmission instead of the CVT. Whether you're on the highway or tearing up the trails, the Trailblazer has enough power to get you where you need to go.

The latest Chevy Trailblazer offers respectable performance, particularly with the upgraded 1.3-liter engine. It offers very low body roll and optimal control around tight curves. It is easy to park, and the acceleration allows for confident passing on the highway. The brakes are quite sensitive and will bring you to an authoritative stop. At the Activ level, you also get off-road tires and an off-road suspension, which are designed to offer the trailblazing performance for which the vehicle is named.

The cabin features an elegant and modern design with firm bolstering in the front seats, allowing for plenty of support. Even rear passengers are comfortable with a generous 39.4 inches of legroom available. The technology is easy to reach and intuitively organized so you won't have to take your eyes off the road to make it all work. The ride height offers optimal viewing angles in all directions, and entry and exit are easy as pie. Additionally, you get a maximum cargo capacity of 54.4 cubic feet. Wireless connectivity for Apple and Android devices is standard, and the available 8-inch touchscreen and premium Bose audio are outstanding.

At the base level, the new Trailblazer comes with forward crash mitigation and automatic emergency braking, lane-departure and lane-keeping systems, and automatic high beams. Adding the Driver Confidence Package at the LT and higher trims also adds blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alerts and rear parking sensors. The Activ and RS trims have the Technology package that nets you adaptive cruise control to top off the safety features. Taken together, it's a solid suite of active intelligent driver aids to keep you safe on the roads.
