2023 GMC Terrian
The 2023 GMC Terrain is a spacious compact crossover SUV with a bold exterior design. Equipped with supreme comfort, a suite of high-tech features, and ample cabin space, the Terrain delivers a reliable driving experience. For 2023, GMC introduces three new exterior paint colors and 19-inch gloss-black painted aluminum wheels on the all-new Elevation Edition package. Advanced safety features, extreme comfort, and a tuned suspension enhance driving performance in the 2023 model.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Stylish LED headlamps provide brilliant light and emphasize the signature GMC C-shaped grille. The 2023 Terrain features four distinctive trim levels with muscular curb appeal: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. While each trim includes all-season tires, the SLE and AT4 models come standard with 17-inch aluminum wheels, the SLT with 18-inch alloy wheels, and the Denali boasts 19-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium dark gray painted accents.
Optional on the SLE and SLT trim levels, the new Elevation Edition package boasts a darkened front grille and stealth black roof side rails, mirror caps, and exterior accents and badging. For 2023, GMC adds three new exterior paint color options. These include Volcanic Red Tintcoat, a bold deep red with a metallic finish, and Sterling Metallic, a timeless silver-gray tone. The third color, Deep Bronze Metallic, is an eye-catching rich bronze hue exclusive to the Denali trim.
Engine (Power)
GMC powers all 2023 Terrains with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pairs with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the SLE and SLT trims, and the AT4 and Denali models feature standard all-wheel drive. For 2023, the 175-horsepower turbocharged engine delivers five more horsepower than prior years and 203 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
GMC equips the 2023 Terrain with four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. This enhances steering control during hard braking on smooth surfaces and stabilizes descent on steep declines. This muscular compact SUV can elevate your road trip with a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The Terrain's AWD Traction Select System allows a choice between three driving modes to improve handling in various driving landscapes. These modes include FWD to optimize fuel economy, AWD to optimize traction on wet roads, and off-road to further boost grip on rugged sand or gravel roads.
Interior
A spacious cabin prioritizes comfort with excellent rear legroom and an ample luggage area. Ventilated driver and front passenger seats, heated rear outboard seats, and perforated leather seat trim with the Denali logo set the top-of-the-line trim apart. The SLE trim includes a 7-inch infotainment system, and the upper three models feature an 8-inch infotainment system. The top-end Denali offers navigation. Smartphone integration and a wireless hotspot are standard features on all 2023 Terrains.
Safety Features
The 2023 GMC Terrain adds six airbags throughout the cabin, and standard safety features include lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, and forward collision alert. Additional optional features on the SLE, SLT, and AT4 trim levels include rear park assist, safety alert seat, and adaptive cruise control. The Denali model features rear park assist as a standard feature.
