The new Sierra 1500 comes in eight different trim levels, so there's plenty of room for customization. It all begins with the Pro trim, which already features LED taillights, auto on/off LED headlights, and 17-inch steel wheels. With the SLE trim, you also get a MultiPro Tailgate with EZ Lift as well as heated outboard mirrors. Meanwhile, the Elevation trim adds a gloss-black grille and 20-inch black wheels. Under the hood of the Sierra 1500, you'll find one of four engine options. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four that produces 310 horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. The next engine is a significant upgrade, a 5.3-liter V-8 offering 355 horsepower with 383 pound-feet of torque. The most powerful engine is the 6.2-liter V-8 that boasts 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The fourth option is a 3-liter inline-six turbo-diesel engine that produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

If you're looking for capability, the Sierra 1500 is one of the best options on the market. If you equip it properly, you can enjoy a maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 2,240 pounds. Driving this powerhouse of a truck is also easy thanks to the body roll restraint system that keeps you firmly in control even when cornering.

The inside of the Sierra 1500 is as utilitarian as it is advanced, with exciting technology features you may not want to miss out on. For example, you can opt for an available 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a head-up display that will project important information directly onto the windshield. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and you can even opt for a 13.4-inch touchscreen interface for the infotainment system.

Lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking are both standard from the base-level Pro trim.
